Lawrence brings a wealth of coaching and player development experience to the British Virgin Islands. He is currently Rugby Programme Manager for the Newcastle Red Bulls ACE Programme at Gosforth Academy and has previously held key coaching and development roles with Newcastle Falcons, Percy Park RFC, Royal Grammar School Newcastle, Scottish Rugby’s National Specialist Skills Programme, Northumberland County U18s and Berwick RFC.

A UKCC Level 4 qualified rugby union coach, Lawrence has extensive experience in youth development, talent identification, coach mentoring, safeguarding, festival planning, season planning and delivering individual, unit and team rugby programmes. His background also includes supporting young athletes with academic development and personal growth.

BVI Rugby believes Lawrence’s appointment marks an exciting step forward for the continued growth of rugby across the Territory, particularly within schools, youth pathways, community rugby and senior player development.
